The ancient rock sanctuary is part of one of the most powerful energy zones in Europe.
It is said that energy sites have a reflective effect – the energy with which you approach them will be multiplied within you.
The ancient rock sanctuary Belintash is one of the three points (Belintash – Krastova Gora – Karadzhov Kamak) forming one of the strongest energy zones in Europe. In the Belintash area and its surroundings, a powerful energy is felt, and many people share stories of paranormal experiences.
You can stay in the village of Mostovo, located 27 km from Asenovgrad, which lies in the middle of these sacred sites.
The sanctuary itself is believed to have been a cult site used for rituals by the Thracian tribes that once inhabited the region. The exact purpose of the sanctuary remains unclear, with some suggesting it may have been used for astronomical measurements.
Belintash has been studied by scientists since 1975. Its name comes from “white, good stone,” and it can also be translated as “stone of knowledge.” Archaeologists and historians tend to believe that the plateau was used for cult activities as early as the 5th century BC. According to Professor Ana Raduncheva, the altar plateau dates back to the Eneolithic period, as a clay anthropomorphic statuette from that era was found in one of the rock crevices of Belintash. Large quantities of Late Eneolithic pottery have also been discovered throughout the central part of the sanctuary, especially beneath the steep rocks of the plateau and the caves below.
